1Register for free tickets to College of Adaptive Arts' Annual Graduation Ceremony and Holiday Concert Choir on Saturday, December 10 at the Hammer Theatre: Keynote Speaker: San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, 2-4pm followed by a hot cocoa reception in the lobby of the Hammer Theatre. :)

2. Today Last Day Spanish Class: Today the Spanish class students will be meeting at Casa Vicky restaurant, 792 E. Julian St., San Jose, 95112 to order a late lunch/afternoon snack in Spanish! Cost: $8/student.  See DeAnna if transportation is neeeded.

3. Winter Quarter Course Schedule is Now Out.  There may be last minute updates/edits this week - watch for email updates.  Registration begins this Saturday for currently registered students.  Winter Quarter 2017 begins Monday, January 9, 2017.

4. Thank you Jill Escher of the Autism Society of San Francisco Bay Area for allowing College of Adaptive Arts to present their new lifelong educational opportunity model at their most informative and engaging conference this past Saturday. CAA salutes the noble work of outstanding community leaders helping to pave a brighter path for adults with autism and all differing abilities

5. 2 New Topics Added for Next Monday Evening's Quarterly Parent Advisory Council Meeting, Monday, December 12, 6:30 - 8pm: Support Group for Aging Students/Complexities & How to Support/Offer a Class for adults with Asperger's and/or high functioning autism. We need your input: please plan to attend - CAA site. :)

8. 2017 Quarter Date Schedule is now Available to give to service Coordinator at the San Andreas Regional Center. 

9. Fall Tuition is Now Due: If paying on a payment plan, or if your student has taken more classes over the approved number from SARC, tuition is now due. Please look for an updated invoice from DeAnna this week. We'd like to have all past balances paid before Winter Quarter registration begins.

10. For all of those Jazz Lovers: Come out and support the amazing Marc Eaman in Touch of Brass Band - husband of our very own wonderful professional photographer, Linda Krakow Eaman:You’re invited to come and enjoy my big band, A Touch of Brass, performing a Xmas & Holiday music concert at Art Boutiki in downtown San Jose.
Well known as a comic book store, Art Boutiki also has a nice concert room in the back with great acoustics and a snack bar with burgers, hot dogs, hot sandwiches & mini pizzas along with sodas, beer, and wine. More info is attached in the flyer and you can RSVP here.

16. New Updates from School of Communications Director, Danie Weaver: 

--NEW DATE: January 21 Team Building event at History Park from 11-2. Students must be accompanied by a caregiver. All Students council members past and present are invited to join us. More Details to follow.
--Communication Students:
We are hosting a Showcase event on February 11, Any Student who is currently taking a communication class this quarter. The communication classes are: Reading Partner, Poetry, Spanish and Cultural Studies, Reading and Writing Lab, Sign Language, Speaking With Confidence, Student Council Leadership. Any current students who would like to share something please Danie Weaver know, so she can work with them. All showcase piece just needs to be approved by Danie. There will also be class demonstrations as well.

18Seeking Community Venues to Perform: We are also seeking new community venues to take our multiple theatre troupes out to perform and contribute their artistic creations to the community.
