Undergraduate courses in this department promote a lifelong love of dance through instruction in techniques of classical and contemporary styles. Students gain an understanding of ballet, contemporary, jazz and lyrical dance, adding to their repertoire of arts experience and engagement.

Graduate level dance courses expand upon learned ballet, jazz, and choreography skills in a course of study culimnating in cumulative community performance projects.

Students receive instruction in classical ballet techniques, the foundation of all dance styles learned at CAA. Graduate ballet students have enjoyed opportunities as cast members in local ballet company productions. Jazz instruction includes classes such as the Joy of Broadway Dance.



The CAA School of Dance collaborates with other schools of study such as Theatre and Communications, and has offered workshops in areas such as tap, flamenco, and choreography for children.
