With 48 years in chemistry, I love science. Before my retirement in 2021, I worked at Northwest University in Seattle, WA, for ten years as a science lab supervisor. I taught Survey of Chemistry Lab for seven years during that time. After my retirement, I taught the online Multidisciplinary Science course for two years. Also, the daughter of my best friend in that college is disabled. I interacted with her a lot. I am capable of explaining complex scientific concepts in simple terms.
Fun fact: I got my high school diploma in 2024, 30 years after I received my Ph. D. (I had no opportunity to go to high school, let alone college at the time growing up, due to the cultural revolution in China. I self-studied for five years to pass the competitive entrance exam to college. My mother tutored me English for 15 years, which enabled me to pass those language exams to enter graduate school in the US.)
