I worked in the travel industry for over 30 years and lost my job due to an injury. In 2020, I  started taking classes at West Valley and explored many options through DESP (Disabled Education Support Program). In May 2023, I learned about the College of Adaptive Arts, and my first experience volunteering for CAA melted my heart. I knew this was a special place where I was meant to be. I spent a semester volunteering for three classes and was hired as an Associate Professor in December. I am currently helping with seven classes and looking forward to continuing to learn and becoming a professor. I enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, going to the beach, doing arts, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
